Apple Personal Voice records a synthesized copy of your own voice on your device. Do it while your speech is still yours, in a quiet room, in one sitting. Turn on Share Across Devices so a copy is kept in iCloud, because that is the only backup that exists and replacing a phone without it means the voice is gone.
Rejoin finds it automatically once you allow access. There is no file to export and nothing to upload.
After surgery
Typing to speak, your sayings board, routines and Display mode make everyday exchanges quick, and all of them work with no signal. Rejoin+ adds live listening with three tappable replies in your own style, so replying in conversation is a tap rather than a typed sentence.
If you could not record in time, Rejoin's built-in voices are warm and adjustable, and you can change them whenever you like. Many people also use Rejoin alongside oesophageal speech or an electrolarynx, for the situations where those are hard work or hard to understand.

Speaking is free forever: typing to speak with your own voice, your sayings board, routines, Display mode and history, all working offline. Rejoin+ adds the AI layer that listens and drafts replies, for $12.99 a month or $99.99 a year with the first month free. That layer runs on a server, so it needs a connection. If a subscription lapses, Rejoin never goes silent.
