Setup takes about three minutes, and your first sentence is spoken aloud during it.
Rejoin is designed to be working within a few minutes of opening it, for you or for someone you care for. Here is the whole path, from download to first spoken sentence.
1. Download and open Rejoin
Get Rejoin from the App Store on an iPhone or iPad running iOS or iPadOS 17 or later. It is free to download and free to speak.
2. Say who it is for
On the second onboarding screen, choose whether you are setting up for yourself or helping someone else. Choosing 'I'm helping someone' sets you up side by side and keeps the person speaking in charge.
3. Say what is making speech hard
Tell Rejoin the condition or difficulty. It adapts its defaults: bigger targets for tremor, picture cues after a stroke, typing-first after a laryngectomy. Every step can be skipped and changed later.
4. Choose a voice, and hear your first sentence
If a Personal Voice already exists on the device, Rejoin finds it once you allow access. Otherwise pick a built-in voice. Your first sentence is spoken aloud right here, in minute one.
5. Add the phrases you actually say
Fill your sayings board with the things you say most, and set up routines for the moments that repeat. Tiles stay exactly where you put them. All of this works offline.
6. Turn on listening when you are ready
Rejoin+ listens while the Speak screen is open and offers three replies in your own style. Tap the orb any time to mute. Nothing is ever spoken without your tap.
If you are setting up for someone else
Choose "I'm helping someone" on the second screen and you set up together: their name, their voice, and an optional caregiver PIN. Rejoin keeps the person who is speaking in charge. It speaks only in their voice, and their words always need their tap. You can change anything later under Me.

What is free and what is Rejoin+
Free forever: typing to speak with your Personal Voice, your sayings board, routines, Display mode, history, and offline use. Rejoin+ adds the AI layer, which is live listening with tappable replies, personalized suggestions and care summaries, for $12.99 a month or $99.99 a year with the first month free.
The AI layer runs on a server, so it needs a connection. Everything you need in order to speak does not. If a subscription lapses, Rejoin never goes silent.
If something is not working
The Support page covers the common ones: suggestions not appearing, the voice not sounding right, and buttons being hard to hit. If Rejoin is misbehaving in a way that affects someone's ability to communicate, email hello@rejoinvoice.com with URGENT in the subject and we treat it like the outage it is.
